Div 1A Status + Increased attendance = Sac in the WAC

I have heard people (students mostly) say, "I don't want to watch Div. II football." Has anyone else heard this?

So, If we move up, then we will have more attendance at games, right? Therefore, it makes sense to pursue WAC membership because it will be a positive for our school and Hornet Football.

Go Hornets!!!

I've certainly heard this over and over at State. The students don't care about Montana, Eastern Washington, Weber, really anyone but Davis. 1-A may be what it takes to get more students to the games. Especially if State does it right.

I am all for moving up, however we need to start winning more than we have been before we talk about moving up to the next level.

Yeah, winning is important, but that can come with the bump up in funding and exposure. Look at what UCONN has done...

And USF and UCF. Both schools were not even blips on the radar 15 years ago.

UCONN had the State of Connecticut build them a sweet stadium, we don't have that luxury here.

GCM: The diff with USF is that USF targeted FBS from the time they decided to start football from scratch. They had C-USA membership locked up well before they met the FCS time requirement. When the Big East came calling, they didn't hesitate.

Not sure how that applies here, other than the not hesitating part....
