Do you think schools should schedule UND / Fighting Sioux?

Just wondering if other schools/fans would have a problem putting UND on their schedule because of it's nickname. UND has NO MASCOT, Chant
or does any crazy things like FSU.

What the NCAA is doing to UND about the use of it's nickname----------------> /users/31/07/37/smiles/221864.gif

History...

Ralph Englestad Arena is an unbelievably impressive arena in Grand Forks. I'm not sure if it hosts Fighting Sioux basketball games, but it definitely hosts Fighting Sioux hockey. The hockey team has won the NCAA championship 7 times, their latest in 2000.

Mr. Englestad threatened to pull back arena funding last time UND offered to change the name. It is a serious point of contention in North Dakota. Many of the Sioux bands are opposed to the name, but Englestad is adamant. He may even be behind the lawsuit filed against the NCAA regarding this ban. I expect that fight to last a long while.

Yes it can and yes it has. Kansas came to the Ralph a few years ago.
Seats just about 12,000 for hockey and 15,000-17,000 for Basketball.

IMHO, The NCAA will back down to save face. As for Mr. E. he passed away. The lawsuit was filed by UND and the Great State of North Dakota.
Funds are by donation. NO TAX DOLLARS are being spent!!!
