Does this make CSU look bad?

It would appear to me Jim McElwain will not be at CSU for the long term. The President may have him over the barrel for the short term but doesn't it make him and the University look bad to refuse to negotiate? The football program is leaps ahead of where they were 3 years ago and should be grateful for that.

I have to wonder why Jim would have agreed to such a high buyout in the first place. Do coaches have agents that should have advised him differently?

For the record, no, it didn't make Colorado State look bad. They negotiated a high buyout because they knew they had an in demand coach and were paying him more than any other coach in the MWC. They had every right to exercise their contract to,the fullest.
