Drastic changes coming to womens game

My broadcast partner Mark shared a story with me today that says the NCAA is about to make some dramatic changes to the women's game: four ten minute quarters, over five fouls a quarter leads to two shot bonus, the ball is inbounded in the front court on a back court timeout, etc. The women's game will much more resemble the NBA than the men's game. I'm not sure, Pocatato, other than attendance for women's games is worse than for men. Pace of play seems to be the common theme, in both men's and women's rules changes.

A Montana view on the upcoming changes in the women's game:

“I think it’s positive they are trying to find ways to speed up the game. As it is, games tend to be too long with too many stoppages,” said Robin Selvig, who will be coaching the Lady Griz for the 38th season next winter. “These changes should make it more fan-friendly."
