Ducks

Next opponent is Oregon at Eugene. The Rubber Duckies are currently 6-3 with a game against Texas Southern scheduled for Monday before they play us on Wednesday. Game on Pac-12 Network. Duckies made it to the Final Four last year, but they lost a lot of talent early to the NBA. So far they have not played a game outside the state of Oregon with their only venture on the "road" to Portland in the PK80. They lost to UConn and Oklahoma in the PK80 and then lost to Boise State at Eugene the next game back. They are still a dangerous team with Pritchard leading the charge and a host of recruits that we can only dream about. This starts a two game stint into Pac-12 country, sandwiched around a home game with Linfield. All said, we can get this game and bring some more recognition to the Viking program. by playing smart and poised.

BTW, as soon as OLive puts up the game preview, I'm going to just post #fortyminutesofchaos in the comments section. You all are free to "like" it if you want, just to give OLive some indication that there is a vibrant Viking following out there that is paying attention to what is going on this year in the Park Blocks, even if they choose to ignore it. Of course, they may choose not to post a preview, but I can't see them doing that (its their beloved Ducks after all).

Does anyone on here know the history of the former UO president who fought to limit funding to PSU back in the day? I think someone posted an article about this a long time ago, but I can't seem to find it.

I'll be heading out to Eugene for this one. I have a feeling PSU is going to pull off the upset if they can hit their free throws. It seems like they've had a little bit of a come down after the PK80 getting off to slow starts. This is a game they can definitely get up for from the start and carry the momentum from that second half comeback. Would be nice to get Farris back in time.

Sounds like probably no Farris or Rumel on Wednesday. This will be a tough game not at 100% for sure.

To be honest, I'd take 1-2 over the next three to enter conference play as healthy as possible on the 30th. Oh, and 2-1 would be nice. :-)

Ducks sure looked beatable tonight. However, ever game is different and the Vikings are without Rumel, Farris and Tucker, so the frontline is sure thin......But Go Viks!!!!

Thought ducks would run away with h the game after that scoring drought in the first half. Down 74-70 with 6 min left

A loss, but another solid effort. Am as surprised as you are, but I love watching this team. Will surprised if they're not at among the top few in the Big Sky at the end of the season.

If we can sustain the "chaos" for a full game that would be great. But I am beginning to be concerned about the "droughts" that tend to show up during the games. We had a couple against Loyola Marymount, and we were down big against Santa Clara. I know we were able to rally and get the wins, but as shown in this game, we can't expect a win all the time. It hurts the depth of the team by not having Farris and Rumel, but I guess I'm wondering if we can keep the aggressive play going on the road in conference where most of the games are played at altitude.
