Dyson Koehler Transfer

We just got a transfer from Cal Poly. He was a Freshman last year and averaged 3.2 ppg. Is from Salt Lake City. Looks like he plays a hybrid 3/4. I like that he is a Utah kid. We really have not had too many of them. I don't see him being in the rotation at all this year with so many proven guys ahead of him, but I like the pick up. Since last year didn't count, he can be a Freshman again with 4 years of eligibility with a redshirt year. So 5 years total.

Best thing about him is that in averaging just 15 minutes of floor time per game, he grabbed over 4 rebounds (2nd on the team). Plus, he shot 77% from the foul line.

From what I can see, he will need to work really hard on his shooting and ball handling. He will have a year or two to get the work in. I hope he works hard and has patience with himself. We will certainly find out if he has the motivation to get better, over the next year or so. He probably learned a lot about himself while at CP.

Now, I think we will need to find a monster center for the future. The portal is full of really good prospects right now and that will only grow over the next two months. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see some high level talent still floating around in August. Buckle up boys and girls. This thing is just getting started. :coffee:
