Next time the Wildcats play in Cheney, they'll be playing on a new red playing surface. When is Weber going to follow suit and get purple turf? :)

How about instead of Purple turf, we get....

Black Turf with a big Wildcat in the Shield Logo at mid field, Purple endzones with White and Black writing one side says WEBER STATE and the other says WILDCATS and at both 25 yard lines the Big Sky Logo

Replace the Big Sky logo with a WAC logo and you are spot on...

Can you imagine how hot a field of black turf would get on a warm day?

Yeah thats the only down fall, as sweet as that would look, it would get very hot.

If we cant get turf, we should at least try to make our field look presentable.

Take those little wildcat logo's off the 25 yard line and put one big one at midfield, paint the endzones black with Purple letters outlined in white.

And although it would be sweet to have WAC logos at the 25 yard lines we are not quite at that level yet so we must settle with the Big Sky logo's one at each 25 yard line.

At least our field stayed together. If you saw any BYU games this fall, you would have noticed that their field totally fell apart!! They are going to have to replace that thing again :!: That had to be the worst natural grass field that I have seen in years.

Maybe our natural turf, outdoor field helps give us a slight advantage for home games. Mac seems to think so, doesn't he?

I don't know how Mac and the players feel, but as a fan, I like the natural grass. More grass stains, and mud on a wet day. To me, getting dirty is part of playing football. Still, purple turf would certainly put us in the national spotlight. And it sounds like that is part of why Eastern is going with red. Call it the Boise effect.

For starters it would be nice if the discus, hammer and javelin throwers had somewhere else to throw. I think they tare up the field more that the football team actually does, it kills me too sometimes I see them throwing on the field the day before the game and sometimes even the day of the game, and its not even their season.

I would rather have the team continue to win - Big Sky Championships, National Championships to get in the spotlight.

Agreed.

Actually, I like the natural turf. We don't have the same problems that ISU has. they HAD to change to artificial turf to keep their cheerleaders from grazing during halftime.

LOL! I little rude, but that's one of the funniest things I've read on this forum.
