Eagles v. Southern Utah GAME THREAD

It's almost midnight, so I thought I'd start it.

This is a dangerous game, and since it is SUU's last game, you know they are going to come out with a nothing-to-lose attitude. I have a hard time thinking we'll be able to walk over them like we did Portland State. We need to keep turnovers down to nil (Southern Utah has only had 8 turnovers all year if memory serves), so we probably aren't going to get much giftwrapped in this game.

We'll find out a lot about our team in this game. If we are serious about making a deep run in the playoffs, we need to come out totally fired up and put the throttle down while playing smart. If we just expect to try and make the playoffs without a lot of self-belief, I could see us going through the motions and getting beat ugly while looking forward to next week. Hopefully, Baldwin and Co. have kept these guys focused on the task at hand--- and I suspect they have.

SUU keeps talking about going to the playoffs too, but even if they beat us they still won't have the traditionally needed 7 wins to qualify, and the great west isn't exactly the CAA or the Big Sky.

I do agree we need to respect these guys though, they look like the real deal.

I'll be in Corvallis watching our former Eagle head coach get his ass handed to him....again, maybe ewu wasn't that bad after all? :)

On my way up to the tailgate in about 15 mins. This should be another great day for Eagle football! I believe the way we preform today will be very indicative of our mental toughness and heart this year. I know we're good, but today we have an opportunity to showcase to the rest of the country how a championship caliber team responds to a bye week and a late season non-conference game. GO EAGS!!

Hello Eag Fans,

I was hoping you guys tell me if the game will be streamed on the internet? Hope for a great game today. Hopefully the East coast teams are taking note of how strong the new big sky conference is going to be, I am hoping we give the CAA something to be scared of. Good luck to both teams today! Wish I could be there. :D

Go T-Birds!

Welcome TBridsFN, and welcome to the Big Sky. While I curse it at times, one of the great perks of the Big Sky Conference is that your sporting events get broadcast on the internet.

Today's game can be found through:

http://www.b2tv.com/partner_members.asp?id=263

Feel free to stop back here and comment at half time. We've had some pretty knowledgable "guest" fans for other games. It's interesting to here peoples observations of the game.

Thanks!

I have actually had the pleasure of watching the T-Birds on the road twice this year (TXST and UCD). Really wish I could have made it to this one. Do you have to pay for the streaming feed?

For those of you not in the area - it is snowing in the Cheney area and is cold enough out that most of us might consider letting the coolers go without ice. It looks to be a mixture of rain and snow all day long.

THIS will be an interesting game fo' sho!

Welcome t bird! Don't think your computer is broken if the field looks red:)

LOL, I have heard all about the red turf. Something you guys might find interesting, as I was passing the SUU practice field I noticed the team practicing on "Red" grass...LOL I guess they wanted to get a feel of what it would be like. How is that for preparation.

Nice one. I think I remember another team, maybe Montana doing the same earlier in the year.

Wow, looks *really* wet and crappy out there right now. Won't be good for attendance numbers, Spokane people are such fair weather fans.

Sigh - video out again........come on people get a grip.

DId you guys use to have a running back back in 2001 or 2002 name draake davis? I think he might have left and played at kentucky.

We had a wet one against dixie, actually ok crowd suprisingly.
