Sounds like there is a big push to fill the stands for the last two home games. Could the other coaches "encourage" their players to support the basketball team?
It would be nice to see the student section filled. :thumb:

I'm hoping to take the kids and yell a bunch. Anyone else planning on being there?
I think I've only missed one home game all year. These last two games will be huge. Nothing like going into the conference tourney with a big winning streak. We are getting hot at just the right time. We have to take care of business these last two games.

Let's go EAGS!...man-o-man you guys that went is the crowd as bad as Larry is saying...what a shame.

I think ESPN said 1650, and the student section wasn't great. It still got loud in there. I cannot understand why we can't get to 3000 people on a regular basis. We have nearly a 90% win rate at home the last 3 years. Can't the students at least show up with more than 200 people?

I'm not sure how it would work on an academic level, but I almost feel like people in Phys Ed classes should get some kind of extra credit if they attend a minimum of 5 sports events per quarter. That doesn't seem like a big ask of the students, especially if there is a carrot at the end of the stick. It should be next to mandatory for other athletes to attend the other sports. All the players, regardless of sport, are in this thing together.

I expected a better turnout last night. Tickets were $2, they were basically giving them away. Student section was again down and that includes our track team who was honored last night.

Not sure what else the school can do to bring people to the games as they really are trying...

I agree turnout was disappointing. How much do you think a $2 ticket vs a $10 ticket make? My disappointment is primarily with the students and student athletes.
How many student athletes are there? How many scholarship athletes? If it a fair expectation that they show support for other sports? Maybe scholarships should be based on how many other events you attend?
