I sure like this team. They play solid defense and have a ton of experience and depth. On offense they don’t need to rely on Jacob Davison and Kim Aiken Jr. to score in huge numbers to win. They have been cold in the second half of recent games against some decent teams from larger conferences. However, in this last game against NAU they simply took the game over in the second half. The game against NAU really showed the quandary BSC teams will have in defending the EAGS. NAU did not drop down and double team Tanner Groves and he ate them alive in one-on-one situations. He has developed into an impressive offensive player. Conference teams are going to have to decide whether they want to drop down and double him opening up the court for a bunch of good three point shooters or defend him with a single player and give up points in the paint. So far this year I haven’t seen another team in the BSC with anyone who can stop Tanner Groves. In addition, the EAGS have several guards that pass exceptionally well into the post. Davison and Aikens will have huge games this season. The EAGS have so many ways they can score on teams and they play great defense. In this weird season I haven’t see any team in the BSC that can beat the EAGS.
