Eags beat Griz rerun

It never gets old watching the Eags beat the college of Montana Fizzlies. The arrogance of the UM program makes me sick. They have a long ways to go before they can overtake what EWU did this past decade. Hell they have a long ways to go to overtake their instate rival.

Just throwing this out there, but does it seem like our games had an environment with a lot more energy back then? That crowd in 2012 was electric. I realize 2019 was sort of odd because we played so bad early in the year and had to chase the season the rest of the way. But even in 2018 with a great team I don’t remember that kind of energy.

Watching those two games on Sat. against UM and ISU were special games and great to watch. Idaho St. followed the UM game on SWX and that's the one that 100 pts were scored and it was a close game. The crowds were going nuts to be sure. I was also watching Wrestlemania online so I was in hog heaven. But those games were bigtime games soit's easy to see how the crowd was going nuts.
To answer your question I always get jacked up and so do the people around me but if students are there in force(and band a playin) it really adds to atmosphere. The ISU game was in 2014 and crowd was going nuts so maybe it simply depends on game. Our 2018 and 2019 home games weren't very good(won pretty handidly for the most part).

Nope, not just you. I've noticed crowds being down the last two seasons. Student turnout has been lower, a lot of people are remaining in the tailgates, and to be fair, opponents haven't been great. Also, we've had some terrible weather games the past two seasons (Snow in September). We haven't had a real marquee home game in a while, which is one more reason I really hope this season happens! The last two years have brought Central, Cal Poly, Southern Utah, Idaho, UC Davis x2, Nicholls State, Maine, Lindenwood, North Dakota, Northern Colorado, Northern Arizona and Portland State to town. I know I will always be at the games and ready to go regardless of who we play, but not seeing any top Big Sky teams in town, coupled with bad weather, doesn't bring a lot of people out of their tailgates or dorms. Ironically, we have not lost at home since 2017.

I sure hope the season starts like normal and folks aren’t afraid to pack a stadium, because this is hands down the best home schedule in the history of the Eastern football program. Western Illinois, NAU, Montana, Montana St, Idaho, and Weber St. Every single game is a must see other than maybe NAU, and is always an exciting contest. I pray that this epic schedule doesn’t go to waste!!!

If anybody checks in...on SWX just started 2010 on the Red vs Griz...healthy T. Jones and JC Sheritt who now is defensive coordinator for Cal Poly, working for Baldwin.

*Reminder tomorrow 4/26 at 4pm is the 2010 Title game on Root.

It feels great watching those classic games! They played UM vs. MSU like 5 times already.
