#6 is a great ranking...win out and possibly a top 4 seed in the playoffs.

Go Eags

It's nice to have our program recognized with such a high ranking, but I don't pay much attention to these things. I don't think the team should, either. One game at a time baby!

I think these are used by the GPI, which the NCAA does use, but ya. we gotta win out, a seed would be VERY nice. I wouldn't mind if Montana beats Montana State too....sole first place.

As an FYI, it appears any 4-loss Big Sky team will be on the outside looking in regardless. You can clearly see that if a 4-loss team gets in, they're going to be from the Colonial.

Looking ahead...and I know I shouldn't (but I guess we can as fans)....But if we win out and the Griz beat the Cats...we should be looking at a top 4 seed. But....this means nothing if we don't take care of business in 2 weeks...can't wait for the game.

agreed. we cant get too wrapped up in all this rank stuff although its great to see that our program is getting some national recognition.

Playoffs!!! Playoffs??? WAYyyyyy to early to even think about that!!! GOEAGS!

Nova and Delware still face each other and in that one we want Delaware to win as that would give Nova a third loss and get us ahead of them if we win out. In addition, Delaware still faces UNH, and Nova still has UMASS. W&M has UMASS, JMU, and UNH all of whom are ranked.

So yes, the chances of us passing up 1 if not 2 CAA teams is decent, again if we take care of business. If that happens and MSU loses against Weber or Montana, we will most likely get be a seed.

Good looking ahead, Kris. I didn't think about that.

I hope the team doesn't relax too much during this bye week. SUU's another big test for us, but if we can put together another complete game like we did against PSU I think we'll be ok.

I agree. Big test. SUU is playing like a playoff team right now. Just look at their last 4 games.

We will stuff'em, just like last year !! Once again TO's will decide the outcome !! I'm hoping thats a thing of the past! GOEAGS! Remember, they were supposed to test us last year, no contest ! Poots or no Poots!

Southern Utah is a good team and Baldwin and the boys know that. They have a 6'5" pocket passer in Brad Sorenson, two good running backs (Major Gray and Austin Minefee), a really good reciever in Fesi Sitake. another standout this year is DB Erron Vonner.
We match up pretty well and should go toe to toe with them. It should come down to who controls the turnover margin and if we can find that fourth quarter magic. This is going to be a battle.

Don't forget about their stand-out WR, Poots (sp?).........he's also a game-breaker. He had a pretty big game when we beat them last year, if I remember correctly. That game was nail-biter until we blew it open in the 4th in memory serves.

Ranger ! I was at that game and it wasn't close, they did make a run at us in the 3rd quarter but Nichols matched that plus! It was snowing and windy and a miserable day for football ! One thing for sure, Poots is the real deal but all his yardage last year as well as the QB's was when we were in a prevent, so it's a little skewed! They're a good team as is PSU, I think we just turned ther corner last week and might have figured out HOW to close it out! Lets hope so ! GOEAGS!
