Eags Win 74 - 60 Over Idaho

Went to the game vs Idaho today and I left with a great taste in my mouth. Eags torched the nets hitting 52% from beyond the arc making 15 three-pointers. Eags held UI to 31% shooting. It's amazing what happens when you decide to make defense the priority. They played like the team we know they can be beating a very hot Idaho team that recently beat Wazzu (who recently beat #25 UCLA). Not sure if anyone in the Big Sky can guard McBroom off of the bounce. Kid is lighting quick. He went 6-10 from 3-land and had 26 points. Felix did his normal thing hitting five 3's and scoring 19. Venky and Blizzard only combined for 15 points which makes this win even more impressive. So many guys can score on this team. It helped to finally have Julian Harrell in the starting lineup. Was VERY impressed with his game today. Harrell had 14 points and I think we are a much different team with him in the staring lineup. His size at the guard position makes us a much better defensive team. He's tall ( 6'5") and thicker. You don't always get guys his size at the guard position in the Big Sky. Hopefully this win is the beginning of good things in league play. We still have a lot of work to do. We're nowhere near how good I think we can be if everything comes together this year. This team has the potential to be one of the top 3 eag teams of all time in my opinion. We'll see if they reach their potential. Two more home games next week on Thursday and Saturday.

go eags!

A solid win all the way around. Besides beating WSU they also just beat UNC and North Dakota who we just lost to. Very impressive and excited to see if this game is a turning point!

That was a fun game on Saturday and we had a pretty decent crowd. I think we will see this team go on a run in the next few weeks. If we shoot like we did on Saturday we will be tough to beat. Crazy to think about how we dominated that game, start to finish, and Jois only had something like 4 attempts?

Did't get a chance to see this game...wish I had. Happy that we're now 5-0 against the Vandals since they re-joined the Big Sky for basketball. :thumb:
