Now that some of the smoke is clearing from signing day, here’s a very preliminary look at the depth chart for the football team. Recognize, of course, that there will likely be a lot of changes between now and September. Some of these folks may already be gone – and there may be some players enrolled now that ISU can’t talk about yet because they are not yet eligible. Some off-the-cuff observations: I can't remember ISU ever having this much depth at wide receiver and on the offensive line. Serious help is still needed on special teams. Obviously, quarterback remains the prominent question. A LOT of new guys are going to have to play a lot of football on the defensive line and at linebacker.
