Emily Easom, the 5-foot-10 guard from San Rafael, Calif., has verbally committed to Portland State, according to Mark Anger, director of her East Bay Xplosion club team. She also considered San Francisco, UC-Irvine, and UC-Santa Barbara.

"She's a big time shooter and a tough defender," Anger said.

Easom, a rising senior at Marin Catholic High School, is rated as a three-star prospect by ESPN HoopGurlz and is the Vikings' first 2012 pledge.
