There's another elephant in the room, one that was welcomed in thanks to Harvey's success both on the floor and in the classroom. He graduates this spring. So he could take a shot at the NBA draft or could even transfer to another school and play immediately due to the NCAA’s graduate transfer rule.

“He could pick his school,” Hayford admitted.

But don’t be surprised if Harvey spurns the big boys when they come calling.

“There’s no reason to leave this place,” Harvey said. “And the only guy who ever believed in me and gave me a chance.”

He is special no doubt. Glad he has loyalty.

Hello Tyler, feel free to take a 20 minute trip to Spokane and play for the Bulldogs next year. We know how to appreciate under appreciated transfers who can shoot. It will also give you more of a chance to garner national recognition. You can still stay close to your coach and all your friends you made at EWU, in fact EWU has a campus that is literally 100 yards away from us.

That's so funny. Do people not realize which century we live in? It's not new news that every NBA team has been inquiring about Harvey already. Hayford has been quite open about that fact. He's played Pac 12, Big 10, and WCC talent this year and put up great numbers. You don't need to go to a bigger school to get drafted high. Have we forgotten about EWU guard Rodney Stuckey, 1st Rounder, 15th overall pick for the Detroit Pistons. If Harvey is good enough to play in the NBA, he'll get drafted no matter which school he's at. Damian Lillard is another example. He was a 1st Rounder and the 7th overall pick and now a star in the NBA. Both were Big Sky products and both are producing at a big-time level. Stuckey has been putting up big numbers for the Pacers lately. Averaging almost 16 points per game over the last 10 games with a couple of 30 point outings sprinkled in there.

Bottom line, if you can play, YOU CAN PLAY. If anything scouts will like Harvey even more because he brings CHARACTER to the locker room. He's LOYAL and seems very HUMBLE. That can't be overlooked. Character is missing in a lot of locker rooms both collegiately and professionally. We are lucky to have Tyler at EWU and I don't think he's going anywhere. If he has a monster senior season I don't think there's any doubt what league he'll be playing in in two years. In my opinion I believe the Eags will have their 2nd player in under 10 years drafted to the NBA. If indeed that happens, that's more than a lot of schools around the country can say they've had drafted lately. Not bad for a little town named Cheney.

From the Rafters....
go eags!

If Harvey goes anywhere it's to the nba. 5th year seniors don't bode well for the nba draft so I doubt he'd transfer. As for Gonzaga, they have a great program but it definitely doesn't translate to NBA talent. Eastern and weber have put players in the nba the last 10 years that have absolutely mopped the floor with anything the WCC produced.

Or Adam Morrison?

Yeah, Harvey doesn't need that kind of recognition.

clawman,
Yes, as a matter of fact, last night I saw a Player for Miami Heat, think he is called (BIRDMAN), he couldn't put any more on his arms, neck, etc. I think he was the one that came out with the Mohawk Haircut. Could be wrong. Sometimes I wonder if later on in life it doesn't mess with their health. I don't know, I does not wear any. Vic Wallace
