Rumoured that she was possibly looking after winning a title and more importantly because everyone of note was graduating, leaving or had already left.

She's the new head coach at Washington State.

Wonder who'll they'll be looking at to replace her?

Excellent coach. Big loss for UNC, who enjoyed a fun season last year with a women’s conference title and the men winning their post season tournament. I expect to see Jeff Linder move on to bigger things too, eventually.

Good move for her, though she's probably destined for the same fate as every other WSU WBB coach.

Maybe we'll see Wazzu play some Big Sky teams now that Daugherty's gone. They've only played 3 regular-season games against the BSC this decade.

With Courtney Smith already gone and Savannah Scott and Kianna Williams graduating, I understand why Ethridge would want to move up. But it seems to me that Krystal Leger-Walker, Bridget Hintz, and Savannah Smith would be a good nucleus to build a team around.

Etheridge was making a base salary of $125 K at UNC. Daugherty was at $308 K at Wazzu -- again, that's base salary, doesn't include bonuses, etc.

I've heard talk that Smith is out the door as well. Don't know if it is true but that's what I've heard from different sources.

Don't know, that's what I was told from several people.

Even if she stays there's not much left and she'll have to fill a ton of scholarships. Remember they were five short of the maximum to start with.
