We really missed Evan Day last season. Is he applying for a medical redshirt? It would be great to have Day and Ebukam speed rushing from both sides this coming season.

I read somewhere, can't remember where exactly that Evan has applied for a hardship year. Unknown on how long those take to be approved or how far along he is in the process. You would assume they would know something by the time Spring Ball starts.

GoldenEagle, Lets hope it is sooner than later, he has been waiting for the word. He look like he is over the injury now, and progressing very strongly. He was really missed last year. Him and Samson Ebukam are going to be very dangerous on the DL, along with other individuals. I know he will miss his buddy Jase Boutorac, I remembered when both of them was sitting in the stands next to us, watching the Scrimmage as signees to EWU FB Team. Have a great day. Vic Wallace

talon38,
Hope things are going well with you and the family. Since the crew on the West Side are so close, maybe Evan have heard about his 5th year? Spoke to Jase the end of FB Season, he stated he was going to graduate. He is going to be missed. We are here now waiting for April 2, so we can see who is coming back for 2015 Season. Hope we have another opportunity to see the crew from the West Side. Chris was glad when I told her we were going to the Dinner/Lobster Feed April 25th. That music every year has a lot to be desired. I am not into that "Old Folk Music ;) I love to "Get Down"   even with these bad knees. Be safe flying around those Friendly Skies. Your friend. Vic Wallace

GoldenEagle,
Found out today while at the Campus, Evan Day again denied his application for the 2nd time. He will continue to get his education. He will be greatly missed. Some Players are here lifting etc. All return around Aug 10th, & 11th. Have a great weekend. Vic Wallace

That's a bummer. Good luck to him in his future endeavors.

I'm wondering why it was denied. He lost 2 entire seasons to injury.

I'm sure there is other criteria. Hamlin was a fantastic student and maybe that is important for considering these requests. I don't know for sure what grades Day got, but he wasn't an honors candidate and did was not renowned for his academic performance.

I don't think academic standing is written anywhere in the criteria. I'm also interested in knowing why his appeal was denied.

To All,
Don't know why Evan Day application was denied. He was is an Outstanding Player. Can't say much about the decisions NCAA makes at times. Keep your eyes on #92, DL, Nick Foerstel, from Tumwater, he is going to be hall on the DL. He played a little last year and had a few "SACKS". He got on Coach Sawyer shit last season causing himself less playing time. Another to keep your eyes is #98 Monike Sarte, he was to have come in earlier, his brother died, so he took some time off, also # 97 Kaleb Levaeo, DL from Aberdeen, WA, and of course Young Keenan Williams, DL, Cheney High. Saw these young men and they looked great. Of course I could talk about many more. We will have another Outstanding Team this year. The Recruits coming in will be great addition to our team. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace

Hi Vic,
Don't forget this returning Redshirt freshman. Like the rest, he's been working out for whole year waiting for his opportunity. See the link and based on what it says in the first paragraph- it seems to be paying off early!

Air045,
The last part of my comment, I had #53-Jonah Jordan, #46-Conner Baumann, and more on my list. I saw what the young men have done on the Defense. Hope Jonah injury have healed, and ready for the start of the Season. Did you see what came out od Utah? Media picking Eagle to wing the league, Coaches picking Montana State by (1). That game is on Sept. 19, televised Nationally on (ROOTS TV). 20 more days before we kick off the practices. Thanks for reminding me. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace ps noticed there are names being taken off the Roster, and names being added. Will have to wait and confirm who is returning, and who have left.

WOW that pic gives new meaning to " million dollar smile", handsome young man

clawman,
Million Dollar Smile, and very polite to talk with. Remember he was State Champion Thrower from Mead High School. Listen to the Podcast for the 21st July, Coach Beau, Cooper Kupp, Coach Kramer, and AD Chaves. According to the Roster, of which two was done on July 10th. #61 -Jay Dines OL was added to the Roster, now # - 67 Dylan Donahue DL no longer on the roster. We have a total of 98 Players on current Roster. Coach Baldwin did confirm the Players are returning on Aug 10th & 11th, practice starts on the 13th, time unknown. I will be there, should these bones let me ;). Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace

To All,
Made a trip out to campus yesterday, noticed work was going on to the rear of the New Parking lot, and area fenced off in the vicinity where the TV Stations are parked when entering the lot. Don't know what is going on. Only ones out on Campus were our Beautiful Ladies (Cheer Leaders), breaking in new ones. 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:     . Vic Wallace

Air045,
Glad to hear Jordan injury is healed, and ready to go. Does Jordan know why Dylan Donahue DL is not on the roster? Maybe he is coming back when school starts. Don't know if I am going to make any road games this year, My Doctor have been sticking my Ass with Hormones Shot, one every 6 months, until my PSA (Blood Count) drops. Removal of Prostate 20 years ago and high reading for Cancer, should be negative. Take care. Vic Wallace
