• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.
  • Hi Guest, want to participate in the discussions, keep track of read/unread posts and more? Create your free account and increase the benefits of your eGriz.com experience today!
  • Guest, do want an ad free experience on BigSkyFans.com among other benefits? Upgrade your account today!

Thanks for the continued support. Cheers!

Cool man. That turf layer looks really good, what'd you use?

Thanks. It's actually multiple layers of the same turf, colored separately into red, white and black, then using layer masks to detail the logo and individual blades.

Cool. My photoshopping is decent - but I seriously need to get a little bit better knowledge of layers and specifically masks.

By the way, I may have asked you this before, but do you do all your banners in PS or Illustrator. I noticed that you save most as PNG files.

PS. I use PNGs because they don't introduce artifacts like JPEGs, and allow for transparency.

Also, here's a good site that can guide you along on projects. I've learned a lot from it.

Lookin good! Thanks for supplying the template. This should help for an idea I have for an NCAA 12 cover...

Good use of the pngs Screamin. With high speed internet theres really no need for jpgs anymore. I've heard pngs can mess with the color profile so be careful if you're gonna print. But for that you'd want .tga anyways.

I'm going to tool around today with a desktop background and see what I come up with......gunna need to know the dust off my PS skills a little.

What'd you come up with?

If any of you have ideas for graphics or backgrounds, let me know. I thought to make a background that looked like our endzone and a nifty saying as the text, but I wonder if anyone could come up with something catchier. Thoughts?

Also was thinking of getting some kind of graphic going for the Inferno, and listing our opponents as members in the various layers of hell, suffering beatings at the hands of EWU

That looks awesome. The idea of the play on Dante's Inferno sounds like a good one.

I'm still working on mine - right now it's a wallpaper that is going to have the schedule on it as well as some background graphics. Trying to give it sort of a grungy effect. Dunno, we'll see how it turns out.

Nice. I guess the only thing I woukd change would be color on the helmets of the home games like you've done in the past.
