EWU coaches

I am fortunate to have seats 2nd row behind visiting team. We really enjoy watching the visiting team and coaches. My section is full of avid Griz fans--ages 5-70. I was horrified by the language most of your coaches used. I am not a prude but the coaches were screaming "fuck" after every play, good or bad. We started yelling at the coaches and asking them to stop it, that our kids could hear them. They kept it up, maybe even more. Your players were great. You have a great team and as sad as it was to lose, it was fun to watch your excellent players. Obviously your coaches are great--just really crude.

If true, I highly doubt it was Baldwin, but I wouldn't be surprised in the least if it were coach Best or coach Sawyer.

But I'm sure the kids haven't heard anything worse than "fuck" from any Griz fans or anything.

Is "shucky darn" or "fiddle sticks" too strong for you?

Seriously I am not one to condone or excuse foul language, but seriously what do you or anyone expect from a bunch of amped up, testosterone driven guys!
I would complain maybe about how close your seats are actually to the bench and players if that is not the type of language you want to hear. My suggestion would be to be far enough back from the field so our players don't get spit on.

Shucks darn, fiddlesticks. Kidding me? Coaches yelling fuck every two minutes.
Every 2 minutes? I would say considering the sport. That's pretty gosh darn good! . . .oh wait is that too strong for you?
So you are saying that it is ok for your fans to spit on our players?

This. If you don't want to hear what said on the sidelines during the game, don't have seats that are so close that you can reach out and touch the players. Besides, I call BS - I thought it was so loud that you couldn't hear anything anyway (unless you're saying that it's quiet as a church during UM's offensive series and it didn't seem that way during the telecast and, as every Griz fan will proclaim, it was obviously too loud to hear during EWU offensive possessions).

I don't have a problem with coaches swearing during practice or games. I'll definitely take it over a coach picking boogers out of his schnoz.

I'm thinking there's a bit of trolling going on here.

Griz fans aren't perfect. I expect more from coaches. Baldwin was one of them. A frequent user.....

A new low, even for Griz fans.

Thank you Saint Sister HannahO

I've stood on those sidelines and you've got WAY more profanity laden smack directed at the opposing team than you could ever hear from our coaches. I mean they are absolutely brutal.

Montana used to be the state where kids could go in saloons and learn about cursin', drinkin', and gamblin' - you know..."the formative years".

Evidently the state's gone soft like their football program. :ohno:

Besides....who really gives a fuck?

Go back to your own board. This is not relevant to anything that we are focused on here. Doubt you could distinguish between the language of the players on the field, your own fans your sitting among or Eastern players and coaches. Must have "sonic" hearing. Having gone to championship games (in support of the BigSky) that Montana participated in at Chattanooga, the behavior and language was "salty" at best. Go be hypocritical somewhere else.

Okay. Someday you will enjoy taking your kid to a game. but obviously EWU does no wrong, except playing ISU.
Get back to us when the Griz are relevant again or beat a team with a winning record, whichever comes first. :coffee:
