On the islands, no less.

I've been saying since last March that the Eagles could compete for a title with us. Chiverton is only playing @ 80%. Unless UM beats LBSU, I don't think there is any doubt 1 & 2 is between WSU & Eastern Dub. They've played Oregon & Gonzaga tough, while UM has struggled with the likes of Great Falls by 1 at home.

Agreed!! Eastern is a very dangerous team. They had great momentum and confidence heading into the offseason after beating UM and the Cats at home. I don't know how good of a coach Hayford is, but from my vantage point, he looks pretty good. However, Eastern would have been good this year no matter. They are brining back a bunch of experienced players, who have meshed, play as a team, and have the confidence to know that they can compete with anyone. Now to mention that Hayford added some great athletes to a team already full of talent, definitely adds to Easterns potential. Chiverton is one hell of a basketball player, how on earth Eastern got him, I'll never know; and Hickert...a big who can play outside...Yikes!!

UM is good depending on whether or not Selvig is playing. He creates a lot of mis-matches and can open up the middle. However, this year, unlike last year, UM's other bigs aren't anything special. Decent or, even good, yes, but not like last year. Qvale had to be double teamed, which opened up Selvig's perimeter play. Now teams can face UM straight up and not lose anything. UM is still very good and Tinkle is a solid coach, so...

On side notes...MSU and SAC are both looking great this year too. SAC already has 2 DI wins, which is pretty remarkable for the Hornets. And I don't care how bad Utah is this year, beating them in the Huntsman Center is no small feat. Just ask our guys who were totally bent over by the men in stripes last year.
