EWU game(s)

I normally wait a day or so to post after a game such as tonight. I don't think I'll have any more cogent comments tomorrow than I will now - that was a horrible f'ing game. Cameron Jones showed up. It seemed that everyone else was still at the hotel, on the bus, on the plane or back in Flagstaff mentally. Free throws, rebounding, 3 point shooting... where to start? It was all utter tripe tonight. Hard time believing that this same team lost in Tucson by 5 points.

The Big Sky Conference looks like it's gonna get ugly as the season goes on. Sac State playing the top team tough. PSU beats WSU at home. UM has to grind out a win on the road vs. ISU. More turds will be laid on the road in conference play by Big Sky teams. UM, MSU and N. Colorado definitely have the inside track for hosting the tournament now.

Til Saturday...

I get your frustration. EWU was on a 5 game losing streak and boom they play us and of course we help them end their streak. This team is not playing well in conference. There was so much promise, but they just don't have it in them to be winners. They just don't want it bad enough. I guess they're content with being mediocre in the big sky. My hope of making the conference tournament is going out the window and fast with this team

Well, I missed all of the NAU-Portland State U. pre-game, post-game and actual game itself due to work last Saturday. NAU won. Maybe I'm on to something here. Looks like I'll be sitting out next Monday's game vs. Northern Colorado due to work as well. Here's to a repeat performance by the Jacks.

Re: where the Jacks are at in conference at the moment I'd have to say "schizophrenic" is the term coming to mind. They'll beat some teams they probably wouldn't usually but will lose to teams they shouldn't. I predict a 4th-5th place finish and at least a bid in the conference tourney. I'd love to see em go on a run and get a top 2-3 seed but just don't see it happening with the fast starts of the Bears and Grizzlies.
