17-31 record in the Big Sky Conference.

Unbelievable! I guess expectations for having a winning basketball program is not a high priority at EWU. Yuck!

We will have to see some significant progress made next season, or he will definitely be out. The thing is, it's possible to have a successful program here - it's been done before with Steve Aggers and RayGac.....we should be more competetive than we have been the past several seasons under Earlywine and Burns.

Especially when you have players like Stuckey, Dean. Not placing in the top two-thirds of the conference shouldn't be that hard.

EWU will be fine. With the young guns currently on the team, all you guys need is a few pieces to be in the top tier of the BSC. I have no comment on the coaching situation as I have no idea what type of a job he has been doing, but the 17-31 isn’t good (still a hell of a lot better than the 4-28 BSC record Katz has in his first 2 years). The one year extension is a good idea and it gives the coach a chance to continue to build the team. The down side is what a one year extension tells prospective recruits?

im not sure what to think about this. from a recruiting perspective if there is any hope left for the program with coach e they had to sign him to at least 1 year.

this year's team i thought should have been good enough for top 6 but the sky really seemed really good this year overall.

benny was a dissappoitment but i heard he was a problem player and that was why he didnt play as much and wasn't as good as the year before. weber had a similar problem with franklin session who has now left to go play DII ball.

I think the Eagles will be improved this year. The thing is, I'm not sure if it will be enough of an improvement to keep the current regime around. We have had a string of bad years that is really pretty much unacceptable for where the program has been, and should be. I'll support the team either way though, as always.
