EWU - NAU prediction thread

After a huge home win on Saturday, time to go out and get a win on the road.

NAU is coming off a bye week so they will be rested and prepared for the Eags. They are 2-2 on the year, both wins at home, both their losses came on the road. They have played 2 conference games, losing by 2 on the road at PSU and winning by 17 at home against ISU. They appear fairly balanced on offense and its tough to really figure NAU out based on who they have played.

I think we keep the momentum rolling. Talley has a big game and BLM to Edwards continues to roll. Our defensive line has begun to dominate and I think we will either have a special teams or defensive touchdown this week.

Eags: 30
NAU: 20

Last time down there we were beat up and had no LB's left ! Still Nichols pulled out the win in the last minutes. Gonna be a rough game and the need to score first and often will determine the outcome ! Not sure there's much left in the Eags tank this year ! GOEAGS!

I think NAU scored 40+ and had like 700+ yards and we still won 2 years ago...talk about a shootout. I doubt the same thing will happen saturday, if we can score close to 30 we should win going away...

thats the spirit !

Sad I'll miss this one in person. Even more sad that I won't be able to listen in on radio/internet due to out of town plans. Will find a computer at some point on Sunday to check the finale.

No "700 yards for each team, 45-49 final score" track meets this time. The Eagles and Lumberjacks grind out an ugly, tough game. The new Skydome turf is nice and cushy....no more injuries allowed for the Eagles this season. You've surpassed your quota.

Lumberjacks 31
Eagles 23

Best of luck, Eagles fans.

I think Idaho state replaced their "turf" this year too, finally it's all gone!

If you have a smart phone (android or iOS), download an app called TuneIn Radio. Free internet radio for a huge percentage of stations world wide. If you know what station the game is being broadcast in Flagstaff, then you can pick it up. Pretty awesome.

Oh yeah...

Eags 35, Jacks 24 :twocents:

That was the most tiring game of my life. The elevation is brutal and when you have to score 49 points, or whatever we had, that makes for some long drives.

I see this being a high scorer. I'm gonna say 35-27 Eags.

I don't see our defense giving up many points this game, like less than 20. How many points we score depends on how accurate BLM is this week. If he's on we will score over 30, if not 20. This game makes me nervous. It seems NAU has at least one upset of a upper level team each year, I hope it is not the Eagles.
Go Eagles.

Through 5 games, our offensive high water mark is only 27 points. That's hard to believe with the amount of talent we returned on that side of the ball, injuries or no.

NAU doesn't appear that greta defensively, but will we be able to capitalize?

And that was against our toughest opponent, UW! These Eagles have the potential to really run up and down the field but have not shown that as of yet. Maybe they are saving it for the playoffs :D
Last weekend was Renards "coming out party" for this season, and really sparked the D-line, who is going to spark the offense?

We will find some of the mojo we stashed from last season and put it to use in this game as we need to to get to the promised land. Therefore an EWU win is in the makings vs NAU to the tune of 28-24
