EWU/Sac St PREDICTIONS

EWU - 38

Sac - 17

Not as close as people think. We play really well at home, especially late in the year. We won't have a let down game because our offense stunk last week and they will come to play tomorrow. Our defense will shut down Sac and the only thing that may stop our offense will be the wind tomorrow night.

Looking forward to a dominating performance and showing the country why we are the #1 team in FCS.

Unfortunately these guys always play us tough at home. I'm going with EWU 31, Sac 28

I think Sac is a bit over-rated this year. 3 of their 5 wins are against Big Sky teams that haven't even won an FCS game this year. Beating Colorado was a nice win, but Colorado sucks this year....bad...like almost Idaho bad.

Normally Sac plays us pretty well, but we are 16-4 all time against them, big difference between playing us tough and actually winning....I think we roll in this one.

I also think Sac St is a little overrated this season, however many people are thinking that about EWU too. I think EWU will play with something to prove this weekend and the offense will roll. It'd be nice to have a special teams touchdown for the 3rd straight weekend too! :thumb:

Eastern-45
Sac St-21

GO EAGS!!

A lot of us thought that UND would be a close game, and that we might have a let down after an emotional win over the Griz. Well, here we are again. Sac's pass D ranks last in the league, allowing 290 per game. Our offense should be able to get back on track.

EWU 42
Sac 20.

I also believe Sac St is overrated and my prediction is very close to yours.

EWU 45
Sacks 17

If "the boys" can crank out 27 points vs the Cats in Bozie, I think they can add 2 TD to that so 40 for us. They may have a good QB but he is no Denarius Maghee so our D will allow one less TD so 17 for them.
Eagles 40
Sac 17
I would not be surprised if our D isn't looking for a shutout!

Agreed, the offense needs to get back on track this week. We need to spread the ball around to our receivers (nice to have Edwards back). That's our strength and I hope we can play to it as Sac State seems a little weak against the pass and we have great play-makers. I think Kaufman and Edwards had only 3 catches combined against MSU; that can't happen again. We should win this game...can this team do well handling the late season pressure?

Gonna be a tough evening to throw with sustained winds around 25 and gusts up to 45 and a QB coming off a week with mechanical issues. I want to see the passing game zip too, but this might not be the day to force it. At least going into the wind.

How will the wind, effect our game??
A 40 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 48. Breezy, with a southwest wind 15 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

And in Cheney the wind funnels down through the stadium.

If the wind is that much of an issue, probably best to stick with the short and intermediate pass game which probably suits Adams a little better anyway. If this is gunna be a close game, and it probably will be, the biggest thing the wind might have an effect on is the kicking game. If we win the toss, best to defer and get the wind to our backs in the 4th.

I know the late starts (4 and 5 PM) have been due to either ROOT or SWX telecast scheduling, but today is the type of day made for a afternoon game! Sunny, a bit of a breeze and perfect fall weather. I'm so glad this is the last late start!

Unless you have kids in youth sports on Saturdays. I think late starts actually help attendance. People can get stuff done in the am... honey-do's etc. I absolutely love the late starts.

I know the players hate the late starts ... and past mid-October, it gets too damn cold in the evening to have late starts. Maybe I'm a traditionalist, but college football and Saturday afternoon go together perfectly.

if the game isn't televised, I dont understand the late starts either. it seems as the year goes on and with the temp dropping an earlier start to these games makes more sense.
