Lets take a look at the early season stats so far for the mens basketball team.
POINTS PER GAME
81.6 56th OVERALL
REBOUNDS PER GAME
39.4 72nd OVERALL
ASSISTS PER GAME
15.0 72nd OVERALL
FIELD GOAL PCT
.498 33rd OVERALL
So far they are ranking near the top of the country in all major categories. Already much better than last year. It is early but its a great sign they are playing so well together so young. I am most impressed with their ranking of 33rd in the country almost shooting 50% from the floor... For a team that loves to shoot the three, that is elite.

Individual Stats
Tyler Harvey currently ranks 53rd in all of D1 with 20.3ppg.
Martin Seiferth currently ranks 7th in all of D1 with a shooting percentage of 70%.
Drew Brandon currently ranks 12th in all of D1 with 6.4 assists per game.

I fully expect Parker Kelly and Tyler Harvey to be among the top in 3pt % later on in the year. I also believe Venky Jois will be among the nations leaders in blocks and rebounds.

Pretty impressive stuff in the early going for the Eagles. Have to say im shocked with how well they are playing with no seniors. They are already tough to beat now, imagine in a few months/years! Go Eagles!

While the team looks much improved, let's not all start blowing each other quite yet. Eastern has had a few years in recent memory where the team started off well only to completely fall apart by January. We'll get a much better view of where this team is at over the remainder of December when some legit opponents are on the sked.
