SIMULATION RESULTS FINAL SCORE
Big Sky (FCS) Eastern Washington Eagles 22

Pac-12 (FBS) Washington Huskies 39

What is your prediction?

Fun site. Thanks for sharing.

Tough road trip for the Eags. Hoping to come out of the game injury free with EB3 playing loose. Lots of newness with the OC and the loss of McPherson. Eastern will play heads up, so no gimme for the hucking Fuskies. Would like to see some fall camp before predicting anything. Questions at RB mostly for me, a receiver will have to step up (tons of talent though) and turned over a lot of the defensive secondary too. Think the team has lots of potential leaders.

I liked the Jax St simulation outcome ;) Cocks record versus team over .500 was pitiful last season for all the talent on that team. They did lose to KSU, SEMO, NC A&T and Maine.

I have no doubt; 1) UW will know they were in a football game and they know we are good. 2) I know this team will not quit it's a word absent from the EWU vocabulary. 3) EWU will make plays on both sides of the ball thus causing turnovers and scoring points. 3) Secondary may make some growing pain mistakes and it may be frustrating. 3) If our dline is intact they will cause problems that our lb's will finish off showing promise for the season. 4) EWU's oline will be in a battle and will give just enough time for EB3 to either see a hole and bolt for big yardage or toss that ball down field to give some wr the opportunity to show he can make a big play. 3) EB# will not get flustered no matter the score...he just doesn't know how to get flustered. 4) We will see how our special teams stack up against a national powerhouse and if our punter/placekicker are up for the challenge this season. That simulation score seems solid but since this is not a prediction thread I digress.

What is your prediction?

Hard to argue with that prediction. I'd make the Huskies 17-21 point favorites. We've always played them tough in Seattle, and I expect no less this season. I'm sure we'll have our ups and downs in this game. A win, while highly unlikely, isn't completely out of the question.

IMO if we can move the ball in traditional manner passing and running we will stay in the game, with EB3's scrambling being the difference in opening up their defense.
Their speed will be a difference maker especially in the 2nd half.
I would like the game to be within one score difference.

I've been looking forward to this game for five years remembering that we spotted UW 14 or more before scoring, made up the deficit, trading scores until their interception very late in the game. The 2019 season begins, IMO, with a solid, proven Eagle unit, and some still-to-be-answered Husky questions for a game that will be a high scoring EVENT by the guys in white including a bunch of PATs and no desperation FGs. I'll say Eagles 45, Huskies 27, heavy Eagle passing yardage, happy trip back to Cheney.

If I'm not mistaken, we fumbled the first kickoff and were down 21-0 before Vernon Adams went off. We held the lead in the third quarter, but much like a couple of years earlier, just kept turning the ball over. I think we're -6 in turnover margin in two games against UW in Seattle. Also, I think you've got your games confused. Mitchell threw an interception when we were going in for the winning score in 2011. The second game was constant scoring and we had a chance to take the lead in the fourth when one of our receivers fumbled. They ran out the clock to end the game; we couldn't get a stop whenever it was needed in that one.

Solid points :D Go Eags!

Depending on what he did I would take him. No issue with being drop down U.
Also their lack of experience up front is huge for us.

You are absolutely right Mr. Dopa. Thanks for jogging my memory. We were down 21. I now remember the contested fumble call and the suspense waiting for the confirmation. The Eagles did Eastern exceptionally proud that day.

Always a bit of a red flag when a Peterson coached player is released. Not that he's infallible, but his history with players is pretty good.

Patu (RB) was offered by CWU before walking on at UW, so our OC is familiar with him. He is in the transfer portal. There is also a stud from WSU who ran a 4.34 in HS. Maybe Eags don't have the need or prefer to grow the position organically. Perry has shown he can play at the FBS level. All Eag fans know character matters and I can't speak to any of these players demeanor's on or off the field.

What would the odds be of the Huskies losing to the Eagles and the Cougars??

Could Barriere complete 7 or more touchdown passes against the Huskies? I definitely believe Eagle possibilities for a win are much better that any calculated odds. The Eagles will be flying high for this one as will the Cougs be in November. For a great game, can't happen, but Eags and Cougs, Barriere and Gubrud, lingering fan incited QB controversy settled? GO EAGS!

How many possessions do you think we will have. I'm thinking we will have several running touchdowns so you think we score 10 or 11 times???????????????
