Anyone making the game at HecEd Wednesday? I’ll be there with three others cheering on the Eags. I think it’ll be a great game and good test for the guys.

I wish I could make it, but have a lot of travel coming up. I sure hope the team feels like they have a shot in this one. Gonna need some hot shooting to stand in there with UW; they're pretty good.

It would be awful nice if we could get WSU on the schedule again. The funny thing is back in the 80s and 90s, we used to occasionally get UW and WSU to come to Cheney. I'd love to find a way to make that happen again. Maybe a 2-for-1 deal? It would be nice to get a marquee name on the home schedule. I liked having Belmont make the trip, but despite the fact they're a great team and solid program, they don't bring much panache.

Not going to make this one but I will be watching it. This game presents a lot of challenges for our guys. U-dub has a lot of length and athleticism and they're bringing that Syracuse style Zone to the table. If we don't shoot lights out from 3-land we will lose by 15 or more. We do have enough talent to make this a close one, but it's going to take one of our better games. U-dub is ranked in the top 25 for a reason this year. They have enough talent to make a deep run in March. I love these type of contests though. Let's give them our best shot!!

FYI, the Huskies are playing South Dakota (a pretty good program) tonight, you can watch it on the Pac 12 network.

The thing that always worries me about games like this one is the home cooking. If UW beats us clean, so be it. I’m sure most bettors are expecting that. Just don’t want a repeat of the Boston College game where we get 1/4 the foul shots of our opponent.

I know Pac-12 schools get a bit of that. The worst will be playing Gonzaga in Spokane where I bet 95% of the whistles go against Eastern.

I watched the UW vs South Dakota game. It wasn't good. South Dakota played about as well as they could play against the Dawgs and they still got beat by 20. They got to within 4 points with under 10 minutes to play but then UW had their way. UW has some major size/length and I believe they are going to give almost everyone they play major fits this year. It's just uncommon size for a college team. We have a very solid team this year but I do not like this matchup at all. Win or Lose.....eags are in for a good season and have a great shot at making it to the Dance this year.

Been to 5 UW hoops games this year and they are impressive especially Stewart their Center (freshman) he is NBA ready and a beast. Only one of the games has been a true blow out. Eventhough the game against South Dakota was a 20 point win SD cut it to 4 3 times under the 10 minute mark. The line is 16 from what I have heard so it should be a good measuring stick for us.

The good is I won money and +15.5 pts bet.
The bad we lost a game we could have won.
The Ugly was free throws 12 of 22 and several were 1 and 1's.

Man, losing to a Top 25 program by 10 points on the road and beating a solid Belmont squad is going to look pretty good if we somehow make it to the Dance. I would think these two games alone would definitely take us off the 16-seed line in the NCAA tourney. We didn't even play our best game tonight and we still looked like a solid team. Definitely need to make our free throws and knock down a few more open 3-pointers, but overall this team is solid as a rock. Scoring 80 points against UW's zone says something about our offense. That zone is going to frustrate a lot of teams this year. We move the ball around really well and play really good team basketball. League play is always tough, but I definitely think we look like a top-three team in the Sky.

I always throw in when I comment on basketball that I don't know much about the sport, but I thought Eastern played really hard last night. That said, they didn't play particularly well. Too many turnovers and a lot of easy looks missed (especially FTs). But they fought their ass off and hung in and never let the Huskies get too far ahead. The problem against top-tier teams is Eastern just doesn't seem to have the size to match up, and even less size is on the bench. If we go far this year, it's seems like it's going to be shooting that carries us. Kim Aiken is hella fun to watch.
