And here it is: http://goeags.com/sports/m-footbl/2014-15/releases/15fbRECRUITS" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Pleasantly surprised by a couple of the commits. D. Hayes, J. Williams, and K. Williams are huge pickups within the state of WA. They mentioned during the show that S. Simms had the fastest electronically time 40 in the nation of all CB's in this class. :shock:

Great class. Dehonta and Jayson was the cherry on top today.

I'm going to call this early and see how my prediction plays out the next couple years.
I'm calling underrated Dylan Ledbetter as a future EWU star. By Junior year, he will play a huge role in our defense.

Anyone else find it really disturbing that next year's recruits won't have even been born at the time of Eastern's 1997 playoff run? Damn, I am OLD!

Don't sleep on the two Oregon kids, either. One of them...can't remember which one, was the 2015 Oregon HS player of the year.

Inos. He's going to be a good one for us. Also offers some returner abilities for us.

Any word on prop 48s?
Maybe this class was so good that no prop 48 players looked appealing especially after the investment didn't pay off with the last one. Always wondered what the problem was with him.

Agreed. Prop 48s are always a gamble, and the last few we've had have either turned out to be total washouts or mediocre in talent. Darius Banks, anyone?

I don't believe the three players just coming in this spring from last years recruiting class will be washouts or mediocre in talent - I hope not, time will tell (not sure if their status is prop 48):
OL/DL Monike Sarte, Fife; LB Cody Bekkering, Fresno, CA and WR Simba Webster, Antioch, CA

If what I'm hearing is correct, the three you listed have the potential to be impact players here and we have had some great ones in the past few years. Still, for everyone that works out it seems there's one that doesn't. It's a gamble for sure, but not really one that has much risk. They either get their academics in order and get on scholarship, or they don't.

Tremendous class. A couple of the kids that I was hoping would pan out ended up not happening, but this class certainly seems like it could be the best we've ever had at Eastern. We'll see how it looks a couple years from now, though.

Sarte and Bekkering were greyshirts, I believe. Not sure about Nsimba Webster; he might have been a prop 48.

I'm almost certain Sarte and Simba Webster were Prop's. Not sure about Bekkering, but Baldwin recently mentioned 2/3 would participate in Spring Ball, and one would have to wait until the fall. That definitely spells Prop 48 to me.

allweatherfan2,
I spoke with Cody Beckerring, Monk Sarte, Simba Webster, not very long ago, Cody stated his grades wasn't where they needed to be, so he did attend a CC and got them up, just hope he continues to work on his grades. Monk stated he had dropped out of school because of his brother had died. I can honestly say, ever since he Monk got here he is constantly on the field getting in shape. His first day n Campus, I remembered talking to him, he was on his way to Roos Field to get in some work. He shook my hands Monday when I was on campus, his hands swallowed mine, he is beefing up. Simba was always at Roose Field when the team was practicing, seemed ready to go. I always remind our Players, "Their education is number one, FB is secondary, they need their education, in case FB doesn't work out, you will have your education to fall back on". Well tomorrow is the 1st practice @ 4 p.m. :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: Football Withdrawal :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :nod: :nod: :nod: Will be there, even no pads for first two practices. Vic Wallace
