All I can say is great effort by ISU. Offensively, defensively--good game plan on both sides of the ball. Big plays, tons of heart, rowdy crowd. Great effort--no criticism from me at all.

It was a nut punch at the end but well done Bengals, you had some mojo tonight.

Kyle, I'm not sure about the hit. I though Storms just blew him up.

I think you guys got cheated. Their was a fake injury that gave them a timeout.

The officiating hurt us more. That bogus PI call on McGowan was critical.

Nonetheless, it was a great game -- the Bengals did an incredible job and showed what they are made of.

I don't think the officiating crew is going to get a weekend off from the big sky but there was two calls, the PI in the in zone was " Questionable" looked at it and our camera angle couldn't tell. But the missed illegal block in the blocked was " over looked" or just missed. But Big Sky officials try hard.......or hardly try....
Grosses thing was the broken leg..... I hope all goes well....... Great Effort , Great Game... I feel lucky to have been there... JK

Good game and great effort overall by ISU. There were a lot more positive plays than negative ones.

If you would've asked me before the game if I would take a last-second FG loss to the #2-ranked FCS team, I would've taken it in a heartbeat. However, after watching the game unfold in the second half, I'm disappointed ISU didn't win because they easily coulda shoulda woulda won.

I'll hold my critique for another thread. Regardless, it was a fun game to watch - great atmosphere. Hopefully this effort can carry over into next week's season finale.

You don't know that kid - it's not in his range of possible actions. He was knocked good and it showed. Happens all the time. You've always got to beat the refs, so I don't waste much time blaming them. But, it was another game with questionable calls on each.

Excellant job boys. And give it up for coach Miller and company, we were a 3 and 7 away from winning that game.

That theory (also posted on eGriz) makes no sense at all:

  • 1. Why would Marc Mariani, who was by far UM's leading receiver today, fake an injury and be forced to leave for at least a play? Wouldn't someone less dangerous be more likely?

    2. Why would someone fake an injury to stop the clock when there was still a full minute left and their team only needed two or three first downs to get into FG range?

    3. Why would someone fake an injury to stop the clock when the clock was already stopped to move the chains?

A tremendous effort and game for the Bengals. Well done players, coaches, and fans! Great atmosphere and lots of noise - from ISU and UM fans.
It was great. Be proud and hold your heads up high. Tough loss but oh, what a great feeling yesterday!

Tops for me yesterday, however, was seeing and meeting Andrew Benavides before the game. It was great to see the young man back in Poky and heard that he was to return to classes this week! :D

Answer: That guy layed there for a full minute and a half. Your guys knew exactly what was going on because they all ran over to the coaches and huddled up like it was a "real" timeout. They were able to get the everyone on the same page going into the final minute of the game.

Where has this Bengal team been all season? That was an electric game! There were several questionable calls this game. Why did the officials wait to call a touchdown a minute after the play ended? Whatever. The P.I. looked like a bad call from my angle. All I saw was the defender knocking the ball out of the receivers hand. I am guessing there was a jersey tucked on the backside and that was what the call was.

How about stopping them twice, in the red zone? What a cocky douche bag to go for it, twice! They could have probably locked up the game with those two field goals. I hope he doesn't make that call in the playoffs.

All in all, a fantastic game to watch and be a part of.
