Am new to the Eagles family and am really looking forward to this season! The fact that many publications have many different teams finishing from 1st to 6th implies that this should be a highly competitive conference. Time will tell CAN'T WAIT!!! Go Eagles!!!

Welcome TReid to the board...nice to have a celebrity in our midst.

Got a pretty good feeling about this year's team. Lots of returning talent. Think we're poised for a top 4 finish in the BSC.

This is finally a mature team with a lot of playing time together. Kyle Reid is a great addition to the team, very athletic and will make the EAGS frontcourt the strongest in the conference. Add the EAGS talented backcourt and this team is solid. I'm calling it right now, BSC champions!

Thanks Golden Eagle! It sure looks like it, the Eagles seem very deep at a number of positions!! Kyle and Tyler have chemistry going back to Freshman year at BMHS! Kyle and his twin sister are both self made ballers!! I was a baseball and soccer player, I got cut from the basketball team in HS and their Mom was a figure skater!! In retrospect that was for the best we come to games and cheer and have very little input! LOL! A championship would be a dream come true! I predict a hard fought BIg Sky Conference that will come down to the last game!! Hopefully with EWU on top!! GO EAGLES!

Welcome to the forums and to the EWU family. I'm so looking forward to this season. With Seiferth gone this year our front court will lack a little size, but will make up for it in sheer strength and work ethic. Gonna push for a top spot this year in the BSC. Hayford is building something special and his extension is proof that Chaves thinks so too. :thumb: Go Eags!!

Frederick Jorg, 7'1 could supply some more size for the front court. He redshirted last year. I wonder how he is progressing?

So happy the home opener is at 8am !!! Can't wait!! Go Eagles!! See you all there!!!

TReid42, I will be there bright and early. I watched the scrimmage and really enjoyed Kyle battling with Frederick Jorg. Kyle is going to make this team much better. I was impressed with his defense and offense inside the paint. I had to laugh though when he matched up with Jorg. Kyle is 6-8 and lean, Jorg is 7-1 and just huge. But Kyle played him tough. The combination of the EAGS inside play,3 point shooting and improved D is going to create havoc in the BSC this year. Psyched to get this season rolling.

Kyle has defended numerous 7 footers in high school and at JC he was taught by the best Coach Mitchell and Coach Murphy @ Bishop Montgomery High to stay in front of the taller player and deny the ball! He also has a 7 foot wing span and knows how to use leverage!! I'm with ya Golden Eagle I'm so flipping excited this is dream come true for Kyle and I know he's gonna do his best!!

TReid42,
You looked good in the scrimmage between yourselves, it looks like the Ref hates you already ;) ;) ;) , you got some fowls called you in a hurry. What I love, you didn't seemed mad, you kept on playing. I knew you mumbled something under your breath ;) ;) ;). I wasn't going to the game on the 14th, to early for me 8:am. I will get my lazy butt up and make it to the game. The tickets for the game still says 6:05 p.m. "Welcome to EWU, you and all that came in with the team", glad to have you and Parents as part of the Eagle Family. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace

TReid42,
Spoke to your son yesterday at the Football Game, I taught he was the one that made this post. He started laughing, he said that is my dad.   He is a great individual to talk with, and he seems very happy with his team mates. The team was going through the parking lot passing out Game Schedules. Kyle look great on the court, I was teasing him how the Ref, didn't like him, he had about 4 fowls called in him in about 5 minutes, he just smiled. Hope to get an opportunity to meet you when you come in to a game. Have a great Sunday. Vic Wallace

I am very proud to be his Dad!! He played great today snagging a bunch of rebounds and contributing on offense!! I'm driving up for the home opener!! Would be my pleasure to meet you!!

Great way to start the season. I haven't been this excited about EWU basketball since Stuckey's sophomore year.

Side note: I like this little pipeline to Bishop Montgomery we've got going on.
