Thanks for the update.

I expect this spring to be all about player evaluations and preliminary depth planning. I expect that some of our known #1s will not see a lot of contact. It will be interesting to see what some of these RS players can do with a years worth of conditioning and programed development behind them. I have a feeling that there are some impact players in that mix. When the full team returns for fall camp is when some final evaluations will take place. I don't expect some starters, including QB, to be named until just before our first game.

Is it September yet? :wall:

Coach Hill said that Williams was going to get a try at RB. He was a QB in high school, but was mostly a runner. His arm may not be quite strong enough to be a D1 QB, but he is good on the short passes. He is a very fast and shifty runner. He could play in a lot of positions with his speed. I list him among the RBs because of what coach said and how he played in HS. He is very quick on his feet. Where ever he plays, he is going to be a fun one to watch.

I list them at whatever position is listed on the roster.
 
Hey, does anyone know why Tyler Downs is no longer on the roster. What his injury two years ago so bad that he was not able to play football any longer or is there another reason?

Some times the athletic department simply screws up when they update things. They recently removed many, but not all, of the incoming recruits. After over a year they still cannot update Desmond Williams position to match all the other safeties. They did finally decide that Moss was a FB. I would not panic, either he will be back this fall or he wont.
 
The injury to Downs was nasty. For a big guy that’s hard to come back from. And right when he was getting his mojo back he gets hurt again. I’ll be sad not to see him on the field but sometimes it’s just better to move on and heal up.
 
I think there is a strong possibility that there will be more additions to the team over the next month or so. There are still some very good players in the transfer portal and their options are drying up fast. I think that we still have one or two spots open for the right players.

It looks like the team will be able to get started in mid July. I'm already getting excited for the return of sports and WSU Athletics.
