Every year there FCS teams that beat FBS teams. These are usually called upsets, but not this year. I put together a list of the probable FCS wins and the possible upsets. ( Looking forward to LDopas' and everyones responses).

PROBABLE FCS WINS:
Cal Poly vs. San Diego State
Central Arkansas vs. Arkansas State
Elon vs. Vanderbilt
Gardner-Webb vs. Ohio
New Hampshire vs. Toledo
Northern Iowa vs. Iowa State
Richmond vs. Duke
Southern Utah vs. UNLV
Southern Illinois vs. Ole Miss
William and Mary vs. Virginia

Possible Upsets:
App. State vs. Virginia Tech
Central Arkansas vs. Louisiana Tech
Delaware vs. Navy
Eastern Kentucky vs. Kansas State
Florida A&M vs. South Forida
Eastern Washington vs. Washington
Gardner Webb vs. Wake Forest
Indiana State vs. Western Kentucky
Jacksonville State vs.Kentucky
James Madisson vs. North Carolina
McNeese State vs. Kansas
Montana vs. Tennessee
Murray State vs. Louisville
South Carolina State vs. Central Mich. and Indiana
SE Miss. State vs. Purdue
UC Davis vs. Hawaii
Wofford vs. Clemsen

OK. You wanted it, here you go...

A LOT of the "probable FCS wins" would be landmark upsets. Cal Poly certainly could beat San Diego State, but dollars-to-doughnuts says they won't. I'm not a gambling man, but I'll bet you just about anyone would take that game with no line in favor of SDSU. The only other one that sits out as a big longshot being called "probable" is SIU over Mississippi... just because Jacksonville State beat them last year doesn't mean it's in the cards. The rest may teeter on being somewhere near even, but I'd still think Vandy beats Elon and Virginia gets by William and Mary.

The rest of the list, labeled "possible," are just that. There are varying levels of "possibility." Delaware over Navy is certainly a lot more possible than Appalachian State over Virginia Tech or Montana over Tennessee.

Cal Poly has beaten SDSU the last two meetings, IIRC. I wouldn't put it past them to do it a third. Agreed on the rest of your points though.

I think UCA, CP, NDSU, UNH, and SUU all have great shots at pulling the upset. The rest are all possible. I definitely like our chances against UW though.

these are the most probable. I think the others would be major upsets. Any Big Sky team beating any Pac-10 team would be a major upset and even more so with UW being they are the big kids of the state and beat Nebraska in their bowl game last year. Still, I think we can give them a game!

I'm aware CP has beaten San Diego State recently, but SDSU was a corpse of a football program until Brady Hoke came in. And to think WSU could've had that guy and opted for Paul Wulff !!! :o

Thanks, Wazzu !
