Well deserved honor for Carter as he is the best at his position in FCS!!

May he do what he does best against Portland State and score many more touchdowns this Saturday.

Congratulations to him and our talented Sac State football team that can finish this year with much pride as they are posed for a great finish and a great 2014 season when it is all over in two weeks.

Finish strong Hornets!!!

Very deserving, it's been a privilege to watch him during his Hornet career, proud that he's a Hornet! I hope he has great games tomorrow and at the Causeway, and to see him play in the pros next season.

Add BSC Special Teams POTW to the list. :notworthy:

OGDEN, Utah — DeAndre Carter was named the ROOT Sports Big Sky Special Teams Player of the Week, it was announced today. The award comes a week after the senior earned FCS national and Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Against Portland State on Saturday, Carter broke a 41-41 tie by returning a punt 65 yards for a touchdown with 3:23 remaining in the game. After catching the punt at his own 35, he stepped to the right before slipping back left and down the sideline untouched for the score. The return was the first by a Hornet for a touchdown since Kyle Monson travelled 70 yards at Stanford on Sept. 4, 2010.
