It is doubtful you will see this reported on egriz. It would seem unfathomable to the griz faithful to think that a fcs national championship game could sell out without Montana being one of the participants.

I'm glad it's sold out, it's good for FCS. That said, it doesn't hurt that one of the schools is only 200 miles away and they're not competing with the Cotton Bowl like we were last year. EWU/Delaware was pretty much a worst case scenario from a geographical sense for a game that's played in Texas.

I'm sure the metro-Dallas area was stoekd that a local team is playing in the championship. The fact Sam Houston State is playing in their first NC, and getting the exposure that goes along with it, is probably huge for ticket sales.

I got an email from the hotel we stayed at last year - letting us know about last minute holiday reservation deals.

Friggin' bummed me out.

We got totally spoiled with football last year. And this year, looking at it several weeks now removed from the end of the season - just feels like "the letdown" after all that happened last year. Not let down as in disappointment - in case you read it that way.

Anyone started a "countdown" to spring ball yet?

Don't know what SH average attendance is but while watching the Bobcat game there I saw lots of empty seats.
