Fields no longer a Wildcat

The Wizard and Co. will be able to find another players to replace him with this spring, who might, or might not be as good. All I know is that Rahe will find the best possible player for the team. Rahe looks for kids who play hard, are tough, and give it there all. Yes, Fields is an extremely talented player, and I hope the best for him in the future, but he has a lot to learn. He will get there. I wish him good luck wherever he lands.

That's too bad he quit on the team. He probably would have a chance to play now with K-Bull's injury.

I am hearing 3 weeks or so, but not sure how accurate that is.
I was told that it will be 3-4 weeks :-(

According to info received this morning, the 3-4 weeks is accurate, and Bull has a dr. appt at noon today.
Rumor has it that Wheelwright will be taken off the redshirt status. He probably won't play a ton of minutes, but will be called upon to contribute. Mook will probably be seeing more time at the 3 position with Mahoney getting the start at the 4.

I was impressed with Fields at the Purple and White game - he has talent. But, a great talent is not worth keeping around if he is not ready or willing to be part of the team. I respect and appreciate Rahe for holding them accountable and expecting that they keep rules and play within a system. While we may lose an occasional player like Fields or Sessions, the long term success of the program is strengthened. I applaud the staff for keeping high standards and thinking longer term. Remember, it was Sessions lack of discipline that led to the loss in the Big Sky championship. What if he had the self-discipline to practice free throws for 20 minutes a day during the off-season or even during the season?
I don't know the circumstances that led Fields' his departure from the team - could be academic, attitude, who knows and it really doesn't matter. I also wish Fields the best of luck wherever he lands at.
