Finally the Big Sky refs will suck a little less...

A positive move, things are looking up in the BSC now with a new Commish?! Hope for more positives to come (especially in the BSC scheduling of games--both basketball & football). :thumb:

This is a tremendously positive step in leveling the playing field in NCAA basketball. It is not the end all, or cure all, just a good step in the right direction. The NCAA can take additional steps if they choose to.

This will not eliminate poor officiating, but it should spread it out a bit more. Hopefully, not concentrate it in the BSC. Hopefully, we won't be seeing the same guys over, and over, and over, and over, and over again all season long. :coffee:

This is good news but I'm not sure why everyone acts like the officiating was terrible. It was fine and it will continue to be fine.

You are right. The officiating was OK last year. The year before we had a high number of newbees in the league and they showed it. A few short years ago we had a few bad seeds who made the whole of them look bad. The league got rid of a few of them and it helped greatly. My opinion is a bit colored because I have been watching it for over 40 years and have known some of the officials personally. I have also been friends with several of our players, in the past, and have heard some of the things that have transpired on the floor, in their conversations with these officials. There, indeed, have been some bad, bad seeds. The BSC has put up with it because they didn't have a lot of other choices. The sins of the past will not be tolerated now. :coffee:
