First 5-0 Start Since 1985-86

We have a great shot to go 6-0 with our first ever game in St George against Dixie St. The '86 team started out 10-0 yet only went 8-9 in Big Sky, and finished 18-11, i suppose we already know that Farmer wasn't one of our better coaches. Maybe someone got hurt? 1986 was one of our 4 times we won the old oquirrh bucket which ended thanks to utah.

1985-86 OOC Schedule:

1. W (non) W. Oregon 101-50
2. W Tennessee St 76-59
3. W (non) SUU 80-50
4. W @ USU 92-85
5. W Sam Houston 74-66
6. W Eastern Washington 68-64
7. W Utah 68-67
8. W USU 108-76
9. W @ Santa Clara 56-53
10. W Wyoming 76-71
11. L @ BYU 88-86 in OT
12. L @ Lousiana Lafayette 73-63

For 2021-22 to have any chance to tie a 10-0 start, I realize it sounds just about insane for most college basketball teams, it would require winning @ Washington St and beating USU in Ogden.

Remaining OOC Games:

6. @ Dixie
7. NAU
8. PSU
9. @ Wazzu
10. Maine For Kent (non)
11. Utah St
12. BYU
13. Fresno St

Why 8-0 is very realistic:

Dixie: This is first yr in DI hoops. We will be on 1 week's rest.
NAU: is 8-50 in Ogden and have lost to WSU 9 of last 10 games overall. Last NAU win in Ogden was 2014-15. Rahe is 14-3 in Ogden against NAU.
PSU: is 4-22 in Ogden and have lost to WSU 6 of last 10 games overall. Last PSU win in Ogden was 2019-20, the last time they were in Ogden. Rahe is 10-3 in Ogden against PSU.

You guys definitely seem to be the best team in the BSC...Unless SUU starts to play up to expectations, you are far and away the best team in the BSC....You better hope Rahe doesn't screw this up some way (like playing not a big enough rotation and wearing the top 6-7 down).....Montana has a good team but they don't score consistently which I think they need to fix somehow.....Montana State could have the best chance to take the crown as they look to be pretty well balanced and their freshmen are playing pretty well.....I think you're dancing in March..

suu i think is better than their schedule shows. maybe the first game, at dixie can be ignored, they lost at cal in double overtime. because of a scorers table mistake suu didnt get one of its free throws counted in regulation time. there is an article about it on espn. montanas are looking decent. ewu had a huge win at washington st and we must not forget the brothers groves transferred.

weber just finished nov undefeated for the first time in 36 years. december looks really tough though.

if the team can take care of the home court we could get to 8-0.

can Weber take over the western US?
