The new guys arrive for conditioning this Monday with the first practice on Wednesday.
From what anybody has seen during this past month of summer workouts... which incoming freshman will stand out and possible get a chance to start?
I cant wait for practice to start... :thumb:

My son surprised us and came home for the weekend, stating that it's the last time before Thanksging.....Must be football season!!!! My hat is off to the strength and conditioning coach who put 15 pounds on his 185 body from last year (all muschel) to tip the scales at over 200 for the first time. Too bad we lost Coach Nate Brookerson to U of Memphis. He was a great motivator for the boys during the summer and an awesome influence on their lives. Good luck Coach Nate, you will be missed.

Loloman

Being a safety, he can still gain another 10-15# over the next couple years....just has to keep his speed up. Don't know if anyone has been hired to replace Coach Nate.

What??? we lost Brookerson? What a bummer!!! Talk about an unsung hero of the program, he is top of that list.
That really creates a huge gap, I hope Baldwin has a replacement. These will be huge shoes to fill.

I don't know about starting, but my guess is LB is the position that there is the greatest impact for a Freshman to make an impact.

Has anyone actually seen any of the incoming Freshman? I suppose some may come out early but for most it would seem that they're not on campus yet. I will second the thought that LB is probably the position that will have the biggest opportunity for some Freshman to get a lot of PT. There are 2 or 3 incoming that could probably play right away.
