First practice

I was impressed with the overall pace of the practice. The schedule kept the players on the go constantly, intense but the guys looked to be having fun.
I thought the db's looked good as a whole. A couple of pics and forced fumbles that would have been TD.
It is interesting to watch QB's rotate through plays and exercises. I did not realize how strong VA throws. He can really zip it. West looked good too, very accurate!
Watching Best "coach em up" is a real treat. It is obvious why we have so many outstanding offensive linemen.
Being they were in helmets only there was no physicality. It was hard to tell who individuals were, since they did not all wear their regular number.

thanks for the report. Any standouts in particular?
Hard to tell in this format and not even in pads yet. As a whole I liked the enthusiasm and hard work. Taking is serious and having fun.

I don't think props can practice until they've accumulated the minimum credits required to define their first year. Therefore, unless they took a huge load of credits in Fall and Winter--- or started last Summer, they won't be eligible until Summer ball.

This. They have to sit out their entire first year while they get eligible academically. So, no practices until the summer (if they are eligible).

Took a look at the updated roster. Looks like big David Delgado got switched back over to the O line. Hoping he can make an impact at Guard this year. There are a few walk-ons/transfers, including a QB and a K and some DB's.

eaglesfootball,
If I am not mistaking, we have three Props, Keonte White, Balling (His 1st name slips my taught), DJ Martin. Again they can't get on the field until Sept, if they have gotten their credits up,will know more by Aug 23rd. the Big Game. While visiting my son in Moses Lake last Saturday, I wore my EWU outfits, and everyone is really geared up for our game against SHU. Must get 6 more tickets for my son and family. Got in bed tonight about 6 pm, after charging the Batteries in my boat, and I slept, just got up 01:30a.m. Good morning. Vic Wallace

Vic, so they can't start practicing until the new academic year begins? I would think that they'd be able to practice in the summer as long as they are in good academic standing. I hope allog our players have been hitting the books hard.

No, they could start in the Summer. The deal is that they must complete a first year. Therefore, whenever they finish one year of credits, they could turn out (I think the minimum is 38 in a quarter system, but really I don't know). In theory, they could even start in the Spring if they accumulated enough credits beforehand.

Defendthered,
I am confused now, I found myself attempting to think back of prior years, remember some of the Players did practice during Summer Break, not sure. I can tell you this, w/o seeing the team actually practice very hard, the players from last year are going to be damn good. With the addition of our Recruits, "AWSOME" Will miss practice tomorrow, feeding Women Basketball Team @ 4.p.m., next month Volleyball Team. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic
