Hey all. I finally joined the board. I figured since I'm officially graduated and off the football team I can engage in a little blogging.

Any opinions on how the loss of all the seniors will affect the team next year?

I also have some inside info/possible rumor that Andre Dyson will be hired as the new cornerbacks coach. Jason Beck, a former backup quarterback at BYU and LSU graduate assistant coach will be the QB's coach and a former Oregon State defensive lineman will take over for Coach Chad. The D-Line coach is polynesian so that will definitely help with the island recruiting.

One last question. How important is it for the Football program to build on what was established this past season. As far as community support goes? I know that as a former player, towards the end of the season when people started coming out to the games and getting involved it really made a difference for our team. It's vitally important that we come out strong next year and continue to build upon the successes and create the dynasty that has long been needed at WSU. Let's keep up the support guys.

GO CATS!!!!

55,

Welcome to the forum!!

I hope and think the success of this season will make an impact on next season! I can't wait...

I hope we can replace all you guys from the D, since we are losing almost all the starters.

Congrats on a great season and it was a lot of fun!

Welcome to the forum... Thank you for a great season. It was awesome to watch this team play. I think the potential coaches you have mentioned would be a great addition to WSU. Although it would be easier to accept Jason Beck if they forget about the BYU thing and just say he is an LSU Grad. Assistant...

This next season is going to be huge for WSU they have to do two things.
1. Market the championship team like never before to get fans in the seats from the start, min 9K per game.
2. WSU must win, and win big. If we have learned anything from this season it is the NCAA will overlook WSU if they are not a top 4 team, with big wins and big crowds.

I think that the players that have been brought in by Mac and his assistants have the potential to be a dominate force in the playoffs for the long haul. But they have to become strong leaders to replace the seniors that have left.

From: http://www.footballscoop.com/
Sources tell FootballScoop that Oregon State defensive graduate assistant Inoke Breckterfield has accepted the defensive line position at Weber State.
And
We hear LSU offensive GA Jason Beck has accepted the quarterbacks position at Weber State.

So that leaves Andre Dyson, any word on if he is coming to Weber?

The announcement on the new assistant football coaches should come later this week. I know that all the legal work, contracts and etc are being worked on right now. I will let you know that the D-coord job is going to be done by 2 coaches currently on staff.

Coach Mac announced today at the coaches lunch that Dyson, Beck, and Inoke are the new coaches. Coach Inoke is a big guy and excited to be here.

Great news, good luck to the new coaches, they have big shoes to fill, and bigger expectations from the fans to take the Wildcats to the top, 2009 National Champions...

I talked to coach Inoke and none of the D-line are transferring to other schools. That includes "the beast"

I think Weber has every chance of a repeat.

Yes we lost 8 of our 11 defensive starters, but Weber always seems to have a good defense, and we have Ronnie Mac, so Im not worried there

We get our whole offense back, including Cool Hand Higgins, Superman Smith, Toone time, and Knockout Nakamura. Weber had a top 5 offense in the Nation last year and we get it back.

Every team that plays Weber this year better watch out for the Wildcats.

Coach Mac must like what Gary Crowton teaches QB's because both McGiven and Jason Beck have roots with him.

Agreed with SMJ,

Crowton had some beef from the BYU idiots but he is a proven great offensive coordinator...we'd take him or a protege in a heart beat...then again we couldn't afford him.
