• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Football by 2010 at UTSA?

Finally!!!!! A subject I am well versed in. San Antonio is about 60 miles from me. Actually there is some local criticism and concerns over UTSA's long term plans. What we have read and heard in the local sports buzz is the the college wants to spend about one or two years as an independent 1-AA school, join the Southland (1-AA) conference for about three to four, then jump to the Big 12 (1-A), believing that their program and facilities will be on par with the likes of Texas, Oklahoma, A&M and the other Big 12 schools.

The main concern is that the Southland Conference will not look to kindly on UTSA using them as a stepping stone to the 1-A and demand that they make a longer term commitment. I think that once they start their program, reality may set in and they realize that such a drastic short term plan is totally unrealistic.

I'll keep you posted on any new information I may pick up. Hopefully UTSA Roadrunners will soon be regularly hosting or visiting PSU at some future date.

Um, yeah, the Big 12 is not gonna happen. Of course, if that was a realistic possibility, there'd be no need to think about it - they should have done it already.
