Nice video. Good work.
I could see SAC at 3, but PSU jumping over Weber and NAU...I'm not so sure it is going to happen. Yes, they have a strong offense, but without Julius Thomas at TE they are going to struggle. He was a serious threat in the passing game. He was the size of a TE, but had WR speed and is extremely athletic. Without him on the field, opposing teams will be able to focus more on PSU's Rushing Offense. A great example of this are the last few games for the Vikings last season. You saw that in the last couple of games last season, once PSU became one-dimensional the Vikings weren't as effective on offense as they had been. Also, their defense isn't going to improve enough to keep them in games. Better? Yes...but so are all the teams in the Sky, except the Cubs of Northern Colorado. Overall, I think the Vikings have improved, but not enough to be in the top half of the Sky. The positive for PSU is their OL, QB depth, and RBs (if they stay healthy). The Viks are dangerous, but once again, so is every team in the Sky.
UM...hmmm...their defensive line was steller against ISU, but ISU had the worst offensive line in the Sky. If the Grizz line goes up against a physical, big, and cohesive line, they are done. Look at what happened against, EWU, MSU, and Weber last year. Weber shoved the ball right down UM's throat last year and really nothing is changing for Weber's OL except they are more experienced, deeper, and better. Weber could do the same thing again this year. UM, lossing Roper, an experienced QB, is going to hurt UM a lot. What keeps UM's in games will be their LBs and secondary. I'm not sold on UM at all. I don't think they had a great recruiting class and the remaining players really don't fit into Pflus system.
UNC might lay an Egg in the Sky this year. Their absolute positives are Orms and his receiving corp. But will Orms have the time to hit his receivers? He doesn't really have any RBs who can take pressure off of the passing game and the cubbies OL isn't very good. On defense, they were strong last season, but the Cubs lost a lot and this wasn't the year to lose a lot. Regardless of what i once said though, I'm starting to see Collins as a coach who could turn the Cubs program around, but its going to take a few years and this year isn't going to be that year.
ISU has great LBs because they spent 40+mins on the field last year and they were the only ones who could tackle. Kramer has his work cut out for him for sure. Its going to take some time. However, i think Kramer is the man for the job. The people of Poky better get ready for some rather interesting characters coming to town and a football team that rarely graduates its players, but if it is all about winning for the Bengal faithful, then they shouldn't complain. In a decade they might be able to have a parade again on the Rainbow Road.
NAU is a wildcard. I really don't see the Lumberjacks doing much. They have to replace a lot of players and might put too much pressure on the defense to keep them in games. This might be the worst season in a while for the Jacks. But this is NAU. Last year they underachieved, but two years ago they overachieved. So...who knows. One thing that holds steady is their record. I could see them going 6-5...
We know too much about Eastern and MSU. I think EWU is the better team. MSU should have lost more games last year. Their D was porous at times, especially against the Pass (Weber should have passed the entire game against MSU...what an idiotic game plan by the Weber Staff). Offense they have a great OL but they aren't as stacked as Eastern. I really can't see to many negatives for the Eagles. Personally, I dont' think their D will be as good, but their O will be better so that makes up for it.
SAC??? They will lose in Ogden, but will beat the Grizz for the first time in school history.
Weber...just wait. Either the Cats will be really good or poor. I could see 8-3 and 4-7.
