Portland State Football Coach Jerry Glanville will introduce his first recruiting class at the Portland State Football Signing Party, scheduled for Feb. 6 at the Kingston Bar and Grill.

Viking fans can watch video of the recruiting class and hear Glanville discuss the players and the upcoming season on National Letter of Intent day. It will also be an opportunity to visit with the coaching staff and get details on the 2008 football schedule.

The Signing Party begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Kingston, located at 2021 SW Morrison in Portland.

An auto-racing participant and enthusiast, Coach Glanville will be giving out awards that night to fans who bring the Best 50’s Chevrolet, Best Ford V-8, and the Best Hemi Mopar to the Signing Party.

What about the best zero-emission hybrid? This is Portland after all...^^

Nice idea, though I'm not a fan of the Kingston. Why don't they support the Tortoise? They've always been there for us.Last edited by on 2008-01-30, 23:42; edited 1 time in total

Kingston can get quite cramped. But they are huge supporters too. Especially the Kingston owner.

From the goviks.com story, it looks like these guys will participate in spring practice:

JOSEPH MA’ASEIA, JR, 6-5, 280, DL, Leone, American Samoa (Leone HS/Butte JC)
JOHN SHACKFORD, JR, 6-4, 265, DE, Napa, CA (Vintage HS/Santa Rosa JC)
RAYMOND FRY, SO, 5-8, 180, WR/KR Everett, WA (Mariner HS/Idaho)
FRED ANDERSON, SO, 6-2, 180, FS, Palmdale, CA (Highland HS/College of the Canyons)
GREG CARRADINE, FR, 5-11, 185, FS, Portland, OR (David Douglas HS)

I'm pumped to see these guys in the spring. Shackford should be a beast out there.
