Football tailgating

Hello Vikings fans and sometime tailgaters... Sorry for the delay in getting this week’s tailgater message out. Robyn and Roger are both pretty antsy.

After a difficult start to a promising season, we’re 1-3. But, finally! The team plays its first home game of the season in Providence Park this Saturday against the Aggies of UC Davis. Now, an aggie is either slang for an agate (a type of rock) or a marble. Neither is appetizing, at least to me, but Darrell has told me they taste like chicken (don’t know if it’s the rock or the marble he’s talking about.)

So, chicken it is! (For the theme, at least.) ANY DISH IS WELCOME, chicken is preferred.

Game time is 4:30; we’ll be breaking down and going to the stadium at 3:30, so do not be late. The Ducks play tonight, so all of my UofO fan/friends can be at the game Saturday; the Beavers are AWAY, so the OSU fans should also be there.

GO VIKS!

Actually, an "aggie" used in conjunction with college is a student in the agriculture department. Many of my BSC friends refer to UC-Davis as the Farm Extension. Maybe a better suggestion would be steak. :D :thumb:

Chicken is fine, too. Any critter on a farm. No sushi, however.

Paid football tailgating is in the parking lot immediately north of the Lincoln HS football field, and east of the light rail stop at SW 18th and Salmon; some tailgating also goes on in other lots east of the Park.

Go Viks!
