Will Way (So.): After appearing in four games in 2024, he played 10 games this season, including some as a starter at center.
Ethen Erickson (Jr.): Erickson, a junior college transfer, did not play in 2025.

Maurice Savage (Jr.): The junior college transfer did not appear in any games in his one season at WSU.

DEFENSIVE LINE

Matt Herron (Jr.): Herron played 35 games over three seasons at defensive tackle; in 2025, his 46 tackles (nine for loss) and 3.5 sacks got him All-Big Sky second team honors.
Keahnist Thompson (Jr.): The defensive end transferred from UCF and played 28 games over three seasons; in 2025, he totaled 27 tackles (10.5 for loss) and four sacks.

Caden Kellow (Jr.): The Utah State transfer longsnapper snapped in all 12 games in his lone WSU season.
Justin Lutz (Jr.): The junior college transfer did not appear in any games in his lone WSU season.

If these all don't return WSU has some giant holes to fill.

Quarterbacks - Late season starter Kingston Tisdell is not on the transfer list as well as Cash McCollum, both were freshmen last year. Tisdell showed a lot of promise and poise for a freshmen. I think many are hoping Isaac Wilson will follow his high school coach to WSU.

Running Backs - Butler, Hrbacek and May are graduating, Godley and Sylvester in the portal, Major Givens and Spencer Ferguson returning. I really liked what I saw from Ferguson, especially late in the season.

O-line - will lose a lot of experience and depth but hopefully next man up. Ortega was the only BSC first team offense player, he's graduating

Receivers - doesn't look like we lose much to transfer here but losing Record, Ford, Bennee and Beck to graduation

D-Line - this sucks if Thompson and Herron transfer, those are two huge losses. Lots of players returning though

Linebackers - super sucks losing Hala and Hitchens

DBs - losing all 4 of those players will hurt, that's almost all the experience at the position. Monte Pate looks like he's returning, he was the only BSC first team defensive player from WSU

I know Kjar plans to make Utah the focus of recruiting which has its pros and cons, but I hope we are able to get some difference makers from the portal.

To my thinking, the biggest loses are on the defensive side of the ball. That would be, most likely, due to the coaching changes and some of them looking for a bigger payday. We will certainly be looking for a number of transfers for defense.
