For all of you that were so critical of BLM in the beginning of the year, I think it's time you ate some crow, don't you?

Since the MSU game, he's picked it up, throwing for 21 TD's against 7 int's. While he doesn't have eye-popping numbers, he's done a great job managing the offense. Balance has been the key this year. Some of you think a great QB needs to pass for 400 yards a game to be good and win games. Not true.

Has he made mistakes? Yep, of course he has, but when the game is on the line, he's come through. Think about the UNC, Sac, NAU, and SUU games. Think about the Montana game. BLM came through in all those games when it counted the most, and that's what matters.

Yes, there have been several other factors that have contributed to us being where we're at. TJ is a game-changer. Kauffman is incredible. The defense, with JC, Renard, and company are *MUCH* improved from last year and have kept us in a position to win some of those close ones. But the bottom line is that you don't win games without a good game manager, and BLM has been just that. He knows how to win, and our QB play is a big part of why we won a Big Sky Championship this year and are now playing for a National Championship.

Time for some of you to give credit where credit is due, don't you think?

Yep, he's improved and I would be nodding my head yes if he hadn't thrown that pick six on Saturday. Won't be able to do that again and expect to win facing the caliber of teams left.

Also, anyone else notice how much better he is and the offense as a whole is in the hurry up - like the end of the first half against semo and all of the game winning drives the rest of the season? I would love to see us speed up the no huddle.

He's been fantastic. He had some growing pains but, "out grew" them as one would expect. As for Saturday, hey, QB's are gonna throw pics. Sometimes, they'll go for six. The true test of a QB's worth is how he bounces back. I'd say he shook it off and bounced back just fine.

Like the Ranger says, the naysayers need to man up and give him his credit. No excuses...

In BLM's defense I saw Claussen throw that exact same pick six on Sunday. Same route, same everything. Sometimes it is tough too see the linebacker coming from underneath the route.

I think the hurry up is appropriate at times, but I'm not sure this weekend is the time to try it. NDSU's game is to keep your defense on the field and wear you down over 4 quarters. This week we need to keep our offense on the field for as much of the game clock as possible.

Don't get me wrong, he deserves his credit. And yes, his short term memory, or lack there of, is a tremendous strength.

He's done a fair job, but I wouldn't start calling him a superstar as of yet. I'll give him a lot of credit, he has improved a lot and in previous games he'd have gone to hell in a handbasket after the pick 6 he threw on Saturday. After that bad mistake this time around, he took some easy throws and got back into rhythm. The coaching staff has done a very good job of getting him to work short throws instead of always try to run a fly route. I don't know what's up with that particular route, but he just doesn't throw it well.

He still misreads defenses a lot. Every game he has at least a couple of really awful throws that are there for the taking. But again, those mistakes are becoming fewer and far between. And he's likely to show even more improvement next year as we get almost our entire offense back.

I guess the moderator is a huge BLM fan! To each his own. Truth hurts, I suppose.

Not sure what was said as I didn't get a chance to read your post.

As far as being "huge BLM fans"................shouldn't we all be?

Whoever is the starter at any given position, as a fan base, we should be behind those players 100%, despite personal bias/relation/whatever.

I have absolutely no connections whatsoever to any player on the team - but I support each and every one to the fullest because I am I die hard Eagle fan and always will be.

That's the point I was making.

Well said, these aren't professional football players, they are full time college students. Appreciate the passion but the time for second guessing who should play where is long past. Football is a team game and overall our QB has had a good season, aren't we 10 and 2? The players I know speak highly of him and when we met him at the Coaches Show this fall he sure is a nice young man. Different culture here than in Texas but he has adapted well. The offense will need to perform at a high level this Saturday for us to prevail but no worries there, it helps to have the one of the best running backs in the nation. But we know this game will be won by our line on both sides of the ball. Tough opponent, I'm sure they are ready to strap it on again and battle in the trenches. So are we.
