Ken Pomeroy runs one of the best college basketball websites called kenpom.com. He has developed algorithms attempting to predict future wins/losses and has numerous ways to slice data about college hoops.

Thought you would appreciate these stats from this season:
- At the start- Ranked among all D1 teams, Weber started the season as #187 of 347 teams.
- After the Dayton win, we moved up to 176
- After beating UVU and Irvine, we were up to 119
- Going into the SUU game we were ranked #71.
- After the win at SUU, which KenPom forecast as 11 pt victory we dropped to 78.

\Rankings are affected by the activity of other teams, so root for Dayton, Irvine UVU etc. to keep winning.

Here are current rankings for BSC teams
Weber 78
Montana 151
MSU 275
SUU 302
PSU 225
Sac 212
EWU 263
NAU 311
ID St 331
UNC 294
UND 307

Last comment: If you have access to Altitude TV, Montana plays at Norther Colorado Saturday at 5pm Mountain time. It sure is nice to watch BSC team on HD broadcasts....@wishing :wall:

Nice information. I like Pomeroy's information. As for last nights game one thought hit me, for SUU this was a major game, a rivalry game. That definitely made an impact on the outcome.

looking at the other teams' rankings is highly embarrassing. The Sky needs to do something.

Kind of interesting comparison to last year:

Adjusted efficiency: Raw offensive efficiency is points scored per 100 offensive possessions. The adjusted version adjusts for the quality of opposing defenses, the site of each game, and when each game was played (recent games get more weight). Defensive efficiency is points allowed per 100 defensive possessions, adjusted for the same things.

2012
AdjO = 107.2 (73rd)
AdjD = 105.8 *258th)

2013
AdjO = 105.5 (80th)
AdjD = 94.7 (94th)

The offense is a little worse than last year... but interesting to note that the defense has so far been MUCH better.

Also, one final interesting note... Joel Bolomboy is 13th in the country in OR% and 5th in the country in DR%. Not bad for a true freshman.
