For a change, somebody not named Vernon Adams Jr. earned national and league honors for the explosive offensive unit of the Eastern Washington University football team.

Senior running back Quincy Forte is this week’s ROOT Sports Big Sky Conference Offensive Player of the Week after his 190-yard rushing effort in EWU’s thrilling 52-51 victory over Montana State last Saturday (Sept. 20) in Bozeman, Mont. He also was also honored as one of five weekly NCAA Football Championship Subdivision “All-Stars” by the College Sporting News, and was No. 1 among the 15 FCS players honored as athletes of the week by Beyond Sports Network. In addition, College Sports Madness selected the Fairfield, Calif., native as its BSC Offensive POW.

Little doubt about who this was going to be. Hard to argue with those numbers. Forte has been in straight #beastmode since the playoffs last year.

Just sorting through some stats. Adams leads the BSC (and nation) in passing. Forte leads the BSC in rushing (in only 3 games).

It should go to Butorac, DeBord, and the rest of the boys. It never will, but it should....

Yeah, I hear you. I played offensive line myself in high school. Really the unsung position. We are truly blessed to have such talented men blowing open holes.

the OLine has looked great so far this season and most of the credit needs to go to them. of course it doesn't hurt when you have amazing skill position players like Forte and the rest as well.
