• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Forum Thoughts

I love Eagle athletics and discussing it with those who love (or hate) it. I have read the board for awhile, joined last year, and plan on actually being active this year. That said, I have a few thoughts.

1) With the board being so inactive, why do we need so many sub-forums? Makes navigating more difficult, and I bet many people don't even notice threads they would enjoy if it is not posted in the football forum. In fact, I almost wanted to post this in the football forum. Why not make one forum for all of EWU athletics until we have enough activity to warrant being organized into categories?

2) Why does bigskyfans.com not have a conference wide community board like mtnwestfans.com? I see egriz members come to other boards all the time and many other fans at egriz. Seems like more communication would happen if we had a universal place to discuss, and you didn't need to register/check every school's board.

Just some thoughts I had.

Glad to hear that you'll be posting more often... welcome back!

1. They were there when Chris created the bigskyfans forums for each school. I don't know if their lack of utilization is related to active memberships numbers, or a reflection of the culture in this area of people not really caring to get to know others and thus keeping a reasonable distance. Either way, they're there for use and if people start using them, I'm sure others will eventually join in. At least that was my hope when I started some topics in there a long while back. Hell, this entire forum was like that for a few years until I made an effort to get everyone posting over here.

2. There was a conference-wide BigSkyFans forum, but again, was used sparingly by only a few members, and a lot of spambots. I didn't realize until I just went looking for it that it was no longer there; Chris must have scrapped it a month or so ago when he was updating the sites. Most fans of the various Big Sky schools just post on CS.com, which of course encompasses all of FCS, but there's a pretty large contingent of Big Sky schools represented among the membership.

The board really picks up a lot come football season, so when it does you really kind of need the sub-forums.
